Here are a few letters (two international and two domestic) that I've worked on during the long weekend which were sent out today. One's being sent out to Japan, the Philippines, Colorado, and Georgia.
I'd be working on more, but I ran out of envelopes and can't find my stencil since the move a few months ago.

And an older one I sent out last year to Canada.

I no longer live in the 33rd degree, however, I will keep the blog name the same for simplicity's sake.

I've moved from southern California to northern Oregon about six months ago.
I've been busy moving, finding a job, and being sick but I'm trying my best to get creative again and the best motivation for me is mail art and looking for inspiration from zinesters and other diy artists.

I will post some photos of mail I've been sending out most recently and hope to find new penpals or just people to trade zines or art with on an occasional basis. If you're interested, just post a comment and I will email you regarding it.

I've recently been getting more into making mail art. I've been a member of a few online mail communities for several years now including the now defunct postcardx, sendsomething, and swap-bot. I'm considering becoming a full fledged member of the Letter Writers Alliance but I kind of like having the freedom to send anything randomly like on s squared including postcards or even naked mail. Below is a Japanese themed envelope I made and sent out today. Along with an envelope I received a couple weeks ago from Jackie. If anyone who reads this wants to exchange mail, feel free to comment and we'll get in contact.

Introduction

Welcome to my brand new blog.

I'm Carolyn and I'm another 24 year old who just wants to travel the world taking in all the experiences life has to offer.  

This space won't be limited to only one subject discussed as I'm interested in too many things to list them all, but some of them include indie bands, photography, shows, zines, cooking, craft beer, mail, art, traveling, and other various topics.

Once I have readership established I will be hosting contests and giveaways every so often which will most likely be art or craft supplies, something handmade by me, a mix cd of my favorite songs at the time, stationery, or anything else I may come across.
